What is UPSN?

The UPSN (UPS SurePost) service combines the reliability of the UPS Ground network with the speed and convenience of the U.S. Postal Service. When you ship using UPSN, your package is delivered by the U.S. Postal Service in the same time frame as a First Class mail delivery.

The USPS is an official delivery carrier for UPSN and the only home delivery service to provide such rapid, one-day, or two-day deliveries to destinations in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

We're sure you'll find that it's a great way to ship when you want to keep transportation costs in check.

The UPSN service offers:

  • Premium head-start access to many areas over the U.S. Postal Service's First Class Mail services, including one-day or two-day deliveries depending on location and destination (just like UPS Ground)

UPSN carrier tracking number

It will have two tracking numbers, one beginning with "1z" (for example, 1Z9999999999999999) for its period in the UPS system, and a longer one, normally a number consisting of 22 digits, for its period in the USPS (for example, 9400 1000 0000 0000 0000 00).

Please note that our service will automatically get the status updates for both tracking numbers when you provide only one of them.

What is UPSN on Amazon?

When you order something from Amazon, chances are good that you'll be using UPSN to ship it to you. UPSN is a hybrid shipping service that combines the strengths of both UPS SurePost and the U.S. Postal Service (USPS). It’s a great option for businesses and consumers who want the reliability of UPS but don’t have access to a nearby UPS drop-off location or who need delivery to a P.O. Box.

UPS delivers your package to a local post office for USPS delivery or vice versa. Whether you ship using the UPS SurePost dedicated web address or through an integration with existing UPS or USPS shipping systems, it couldn’t be easier!

UPSN usually delivers packages from Amazon within 1-8 business days. If your order was originally shipped with UPS ground and has not arrived after 9 business days please contact us at 1-800-PACKAGING. Make sure you have your order number available as we will need to research the package route.
